Sourcing

Tax rates and thresholds are taken from official primary sources — government tax authorities and the European Commission — or from openly licensed datasets that are themselves synchronised from those sources. Each dataset's origin, licence and last-checked date are listed on the sources page and cited on every calculator. We do not use rates from forums, blogs or other calculators.

Verification and updates

Machine-readable sources are checked automatically every week and changes are reviewed by a person before publication. Manual sources (fee policies, annually published rates) are reviewed on a quarterly calendar. Every dataset has a staleness window; when it's exceeded, the calculator displays a warning until the data is re-verified.

Corrections

Verified errors are corrected as soon as practical after being confirmed against the official source. Material corrections (a wrong rate, a wrong formula) are noted on the affected page. To report one, contact us with the official source.

Independence

Advertising and affiliate partnerships never influence rates, formulas, results or rankings. Affiliate links are disclosed where they appear. No partner may pay to alter a calculator's output or a page's guidance. Content is written and reviewed by the site's operator; where automated tools assist with drafting, a person verifies every factual claim against the primary source before publication.
